AI everywhere: Looking back on Cisco Live 2025 in Amsterdam

Cisco Live in Amsterdam was incredible in many ways, including the energy and focus on AI and how to capture the opportunity. It was top of the agenda in every conversation and every session, including one that I had the great pleasure of delivering on center stage with Carlos Pereira, Fellow & Chief Architect, Customer Experience at Cisco.
Focus on value
One of my key takeaways is that we must not view AI as a magic solution or the only solution. As IT leaders, it’s imperative that we focus on delivering business value, on identifying the use cases that make sense and will deliver return on investment.
And one of the most compelling use cases for AI is in customer service, and I was delighted to talk our audience through some of the improvements we have driven in our own Technical Assistance Center (TAC), using AI. They include self-service support with our AI Assistant and predictive hardware failure analysis and remediation – all fully automated!
Carlos stepped up the pace talking us through some of the additional use cases we have identified in CX, including using agentic AI to enable hyper-automated provisioning and defending against ever-expanding cyber threats. He provided insights on the additional risks that using AI can introduce to your infrastructure and how to mitigate those. And some very important guidance on how to ensure you achieve ROI. You can access the video replay and the presentation from our session, Accelerating Infrastructure Modernisation and Execution Strategies for AI now!
In addition, the remaining recorded sessions from Cisco Live in Amsterdam will be posted in the On-Demand Library by March 3. Be sure to bookmark the site and catch up on any recorded sessions you may have missed.
